I received both my Birchbox and Ipsy Bag on the same day. Fun mail day, for sure! I have been getting the Birchbox for 7 or 8 months now. It started out great and I loved it. However, the last 3 months I haven't been that in love with it. Honestly, I was getting tired of samples of tea, perfume and protein bars. There has only been 1 or so product that I love out of the box the last few months. Bummer! I had been seeing great things on other blogs about the Ipsy Bag, so I signed up! I wanted to compare them a couple of months and see which one I want to stick with {or both}. Birchbox better step up their game!!!
 
Here are my thoughts on both -
 
Starting with Birchbox - 
 
 
 
 Below is what I got in this month's box - 
  
2 Samples of Caldrea Hand Soap - I haven't used these yet, nor am I that excited to.
ModelCo FIBRE LASHXTEND Lenghtening Mascara - I used this mascara this morning and didn't fall in love with it. I will try it again a few more times to be sure. 
SOYJOY Cranberry Snack Bar -  This doesn't even look good!
 Stella Cadente Miss Me Perfume sample - I am wearing this today and really do like it. I wouldn't purchase a bottle of it at $69.00 though. It came in a cute little pouch and is a nice sample size.
Feeling Smitten Bath Bomb -  Not sure I will ever use this. I have a toddler. Bath's are rare! I tried to smell it through the pacakaging and didn't smell anything. 
Oscar Blandi Pronto Texture & Volume Spray - I used this product this morning and the texture is almost like that of a dry shampoo. It smells pretty good, too. I put it on my dry hair. I'd be curious to put it on my wet hair before styling. 
 
So out of the 5 products I received I am happy with 2 of them...

Below is what I got in this month's Ipsy Bag- 
 
First of all, it came in an adorable Chocolate brown make-up bag. Love! Perfect for Fall.
 
NailTini - nail lacquer in Millionaire - Full size product! Love the color {rose gold base with with micro glitter in gold and teal} and can't wait to use it! I saw an Instagram picture of this polish on a friend's nails and Hello Gorgeous!
Chella Defining Eyebrow Gel - I actually was excited about this product. I just did my eyebrows the night before. I used it this morning and love it!
Starlet Intense Eyeliner - in Chocolate Brown. Full size product! And I love that it's in a brown color rather than a black. I wear a lot of brown eye makeup and this is perfect. Used it this morning and love the color and the smoothness when applying.
bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss -  in Dare Devil  - at first I was thinking that I'd never use it because it looks really dark in the gloss bottle. But I applied it this morning and it's the perfect shade. I also like the texture. I'm pretty picky with lipgloss and do not like anything that leaves my lips feeling sticky/tacky. This one doesn't do that. It actually feels like it's conditioning my lips. 
theBalm - Meet Matt(e) eyeshadow palette - I was excited about this one. I received a different theBalm product in my Birchbox last month and really loved it. It's a dark brown color called Matt Batali. Wearing it today and love it.
 
I guess it's obvious which one I liked more this month!

I love the all of the products in this bag and that they are a size that I can use more than once!

    I have been receiving the Ipsy bag for the past few months now & I love love love it - some of the items I'm not too excited about but save them to put into gifts as a "bonus" for my girlfriends :)

    See, your BB is never like mine. :(
    But, like I said on Instagram...I am not a fan of the protein bars nor teas. That's just NOT me. LOL.

    And, I hear ya...on having a toddler, no time for baths. That's me too. I am lucky if I even get foundation on my face if we are going out in public.

    And, that mascara...I used it the same day I got it and it did not one single bit of beauty for my eye lashes. But, yet again, I am very picky about mascara. I use two different times every time I wear it. Blah.

    This Ipsy bag looks way fun. I am going to check it out and see how much it cost.

    I got a few of the same things in my Birchbox but i didnt get the bath bomb or the perfume. I'm with you on the soyjoy bar. Yuck!
    I need to look into the Ipsy thing. I so want that liquid brown eyeliner!

    Im still waiting on my BB invite! Its been 9 weeks now... Ugh! Ill have to try the other. Ive been wanting to try a brown eye liner for awhile now.
