{My first Mother's Day}

I've been putting off this post because in all honesty I have no words to describe just how I feel. I have tried a few times, but couldn't fight back the tears to even write one sentence. I am so blessed and so thankful that God chose me to be Mason's Mama. There's no greater gift than that of becoming a mother. Everyday this little guy fills my heart with more and more love. It's amazing to watch him grow, learn and develop into such a little man. I get caught up in just watching him play and sometimes forget to grab my camera. I try to take as many pictures as I can because I do not want to miss a single second.

Mason, thank you. Thank you for making me a Mommy. Thank you for loving me unconditionally and for letting me be a part of your journey through life. I will always do my best to lead you down the right path, to protect you, and to be a good example for you. I hope that I am someone that you feel that you can always count on. I hope you know how much I love you and how much you have changed me. I wish I could take away every scraped knee, every bruised forehead and every ache and pain those teeth cause you. I will never stop worrying for you and and wanting the best for you. I love you, my Masonbug!

.............................................

Mother's Day was wonderful. We went to a lovely Mother's Day spread at Javier's in Ferris with Nate's family and some good family friends. The food was amazing and the company was even better! After lunch we went back to the Halls for a bit. Mason napped for a good 2 - 2.5 hours and then we all played outside for a bit. Mason got to ride on papa's tractor and of course he was the HAPPIEST baby ever! Papa even rigged his wagon up to the 'trakk-turrr" (how Mason says it)

We didn't let the day pass without family pictures!! I only have one of the boys with their Mama and Nana because the one with me is on their camera.

I am so happy I actually got pictures of all three of us (together in one picture)!!

My Mother-in-Law got me a new Willowtree figurine to add to my collection! LOVE!!!!!

This is so perfect for our season in life!! This is what Mason and I look like on a daily basis. Him walking while holding my hands. So thoughtful and perfect!

Then it was off to a cook out at my Aunt's House to see all the awesome Mamas on my side of the family. We hung out and talked to relatives for a while. It was nice. Wish I would have taken pictures, but it was too hot and we were busy chasing a boy exploring new toys!!!

That evening we just hung out.

{Weekend Wrapup}

**Warning - long post with lots of pictures!!

Weekend Wrap-up

We had such an amazing weekend! I love weekends that are pure togetherness! I love my boys and love spending every second of everyday with them.

Friday night we headed to Mansfield's "Big League Dreams" for some softball. Nate was asked to sub for a team. Nate scored 3 of the teams 4 runs. He did really well.

*Proud wife here*

Mason and I hung out and he snacked on some cheetos. We had a good time.

After the game we grabbed dinner and headed home. Mason was wore out!! (So was Mama)

Saturday morning Nate and I woke up early to start getting things ready for a garage sale. Mason slept a good 2 hours after we got up so it was nice. We got a lot done! When Mason woke up he came outside with  us and Daddy got out his John Deere. He loves anything TRACTORS!!!

Swinging - Mason likes to be pushed really high. He squeals and laughs. This boy has no fear.

After sorting through garage sale stuff it was time for a swim! Nana bought Mason this pool last Summer and I have been waiting for it to get warm enough to play. It's the cutest little pool ever. Mason had so much fun. Let me go ahead and mention that Mason doesn't look too happy in any of these. He was teething pretty bad this weekend. Two top ones are about to make their debut as is 2 more bottom teeth. Fun stuff.

Getting ready for the pool:

And then it came to the point where he flat out had enough. Insert FIT here. Good thing it only lasted a few seconds. He was completely fine when we got him out of the pool.

Sorry, these were too cute not to share.

Nana thought of a cute photo opp..but Mason wasn't really diggin' it.

 My oh my he's so darn cute!!!!

These next few totally freak me out!!!

He looks so big and grown!!!

Daddy and Mason
(finger in mouth due to teething)

Then it was back to the pool. He just wanted to play with the water without actually being in the water.

Mason has really taken a liken to Rusty Red Dog. Rusty loves the attention!!

Then it was time to go in to cool off and rest. Mason is pulling up on everything now. He loves this kitty, but I don't think she returns those feelings! He will see her and take off as fast as he can after her. He's lightening fast and I just know one day he will catch her...probably by the tail!

 (one of his favorite toys at Nana's house)

And of course our Saturday involved more TRACTOR!!!

The boy can't get enough!!

That evening we watched a movie while Mason napped and then we did a little shopping for Mother's Day. Which leads us to Sunday - I will post a separate Mother's Day post.

Hope your weekend was as great as ours!!

{Daddy's Softball Games}

Every Wednesday we watch Daddy play softball with his work's team. It's loads of fun...but I have to admit, I'm exhausted afterward. Mainly because our little man is mobile and I have to chase him everywhere! And what's more fun to climb on than bleachers?!?!

It's fun though! Really it is!

- Sleeping has been great. You are taking 1 to 2 bottles throughout the night. You still sleep with Mommy and Daddy on your our bed.

- The amount of bottles you take daily varies.

- Still doing well with the solids.You eat 1 4oz jar for breakfast, 2 4oz jars at lunch time and 2 4oz jars for dinner.

- You love to sit up on your own and play with your toys. Your favorite toys right now are your John Deere Metal tractors, your puppy, and unfortunately our Willowtree figurines. I guess those need a new home somewhere a little higher than where your chubby little hands can reach :)
- You're in size 12 or 18 month clothes
- In size 4 diapers

- You love love love water...in a sippy cup, in Mommy or Daddy's cup or through a straw.
 - You absolutely LOVE your A,B,Cs. You can be fussy or very unhappy and we break out with the A B Cs and you're as happy as a clam.
 - YOU'RE CRAWLING everywhere and getting faster and faster and more coordinated. You love to crawl and push either your tractor or trucks. And you make your version of the car sound when doing so.

- You will shake your head and say "uh-uh" or "no" if you do not want something or not want to do something.
- You now know where your head is!!! We sing the head, shoulders knees and toes song and the "head" part was your favorite. You grab your head with both hands and say "head, head head".

You're so smart and so cute and we love you so much Masonbug!
**Something not so great happened this week. You started having baby night terrors (or at least we think, all the signs match!) You had them for 4 nights in a row and it was the hardest thing in the world to watch. You would cry and scream and wiggle and twist and couldn't get comfortable. Of course we didn't know what was bothering you at first and did everything wrong by trying to wake you and talk to you! Now we know what not to do! I really hope these are gone for GOOD!

49 Week Pictures:
You were starting to cry because we took away your sippy cup to get a good picture. What were we thinking?!?

Daddy saved the say and made you happy!

{You keep us on our toes!!}

Mason, at 11 months old you are already so incredibly silly!!! You make Daddy and Mommy laugh constantly. We are all the time saying, "Oh my goodness, look at that boy" and then we crack up! You love to make us laugh. You do something silly, we laugh, you clap, we smile. That's the story of our lives and I love it. It's something I will never ever get tired of.

I think one of my favorites right now is watching you dance in the back seat! And brother, you got rhythm!!! You bob your head to the beat of the song and it's greatness!! Sometimes you even sing while dancing and you get so serious!! We may have us a little star on our hands :)

Oh how I love you my sweet, silly boy!

{Mason, you're too cool for us}

Seriously, dude. You are way too cool for Mommy and Daddy!!! I mean, just look at you!
