{Five on Friday}

Happy finally Friday! I know I mentioned it earlier on the blog this week, but it has been a long and hard week. Nothing bad, actually we had many great things happen this week. It was just pure exhaustion that started to settle in for all three of us. Monday after school Mason was so whiny and short tempered. I asked him what was wrong and he said, "I'm just so lazy mom. I don't feel like doing anything." He was so tired and I could relate 100%/ We went from Spring Break and sleeping 12+ hours a night to getting maybe 7 or 8. That's a huge difference! Especially for people that love their sleep as much as we do. But, isn't that what spring break and trips are for? To throw you completely off schedule and do all the things you love? C'mon summer break! Anyhow, here is a bit of what we have been up to this week.

Even though I was plum exhausted this week I managed to blog 4 out of 5 days and I even drafted a ton of other posts. I also jotted down many other ideas. How is beyond me, but I'll take it. Maybe I was avoiding housework?! ha. Anyhow, this week I blogged about...

Y'all...I have been so incredibly blessed by this blogging community. I have met the sweetest people and some that I so dearly call friends. Receiving this card in the mail this week made my heart so happy. Thank you Jess, I just adore you and value your friendship so much!!

How refreshing is the start of a new season? I brought out our Easter decorations this week and love the little touches around the house. All of the simple decor and pastels are bringing my heart so happy. I also love pulling out seasonal books and reading them with Mason! Especially meaningful ones such as Easter.

I mentioned earlier that we actually had a lot of good happen this week. One of those things was with Mason. His teacher called us on Wednesday saying that she had good news, but she wanted to let Mason tell us. My first thought was that he finally pulled out that wiggly tooth and was excited about it. But, nope. That wasn't it. They started testing him on the advancement placement tests {because he exceeded the normal} and he tested at a 6.11 level. That means he tested as a 6th grader in the month of  July.  So, a 6th grader on the way to 7th grade. Wait, what? I'm so proud of this sweet boy! Despite ADHD {un-medicated} he is learning and advancing so well in school!

On Wednesdays we have church and then we always hang out afterwards to fellowship with friends. We do not get home until 9:30-10:00 so we tackle reading and homework early. It was beautiful, so we did homework outside. It was so nice to change things up a bit.

So...this happened. No Instagram, I did not try to login to my account from Thailand. But, thank you for letting me know and prompting me to change my password. Ugh! Creeps! Speaking of creeps...the amount of weird random men followers is on the rise again. I'm having to block people left and right. And it's extra creepy when it shows that one of my friends is following them. Eeek! Anyone else having this issue?

That's all I've got for today! Happy Friday. I hope your weekend is amazing.

  5. I love that Mason is going so well in school and that you don't have to worry about controlling his ADHD with medication. Bravo to you and Nate because this is something families really struggle with. My nephew is on medicine and I hate how it makes him feel. He seems so groggy and he has lost weight due to no appetite.

  6. Yikes for a random IG login! Grrrr. And yes to a bunch of creeps trying to follow me on IG. No sirs. You have no reason or business following a mama and her three boys. BLOCK! Mason is just the sweetest! Congrats to him (and you!) for getting such great news about his placement in school! And yes, this blogging community is the best! Happy Friday, friend! Enjoy your weekend!

  8. Hi sweet friend! Happy Friday! I'm with you, finally! It has been such a draining week on us but I just had to keep saying "Not today Satan". I'm happy to say that the end of the week has been much better. I'm so glad y'all had such a fun Spring Break. I know how exhausting it is to get back in the swing of things though.

    I'm so ready for summer break. I love having Dylan home with me all summer. Aren't blogging friends the best? That's what I love most about blogging, honestly, the people i've met and friendships i've made.

    I hope y'all have an amazing weekend! XO.

    Snail mail is simply just the best and great job Mason!

    Ugh. So sorry you had to deal with that crazy Instagram business. And, yes. The creeps. WHY?! And I have yet to figure out why anyone I know would want to follow any of those gross accounts?!
