{Texas Tuesday // Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo}

Happy Texas Tuesday y'all!!!

What is Texas Tuesday? A chance for you to show off the awesomeness that is TEXAS!! You can blog about anything; restaurants, vacation spots, venues, concerts, your hometown, shops, fashion, sports, etc. The linkup is not limited to Texans, we just ask that the post is about Texas.

This past weekend we went to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. It is a family tradition for the Halls and friends of the Halls. Nathan's Grandfather started the tradition when Nate was just a little babe. After he passed Nathan and I continued on the tradition. Then after Mason was born his entire family picked up the tradition with us. We love it! And this year we had 20 people in our group! We love that our tradition is growing with more and more folks each year!

We always go early to allow ourselves enough time to walk around the barns, the exhibit hall and the midway. We got there at 10am and had plenty of time! We didn't find much in the exhibit hall that jumped out at us, so we made our way over to the midway.

Mason wanted to ride the kid coaster {which was pretty fast!} so Michelle took one for the team and rode with Mason. It's no wonder why Mason totally adores Michelle {as do we!} Then he rode several other rides and worked up an appetite. Mason ate an entire corny dog!!! That's big. Especially considering we were there in the midway...surrounded by rides and games! We were so proud of him!

After the rides we went over to the horse/mule/donkey barn and made a few swipes through. Then it was time to head on over to the coliseum for the rodeo.

We found our seats and waited for the rest of the group to join us! The rodeo was really good and we had fabulous seats! We also caught word that Pudge Rodriquez was there...but we never saw him! Bummer!

After the rodeo we trucked on over to the Rodeo Goat for supper. I will write all about Rodeo Goat in my next Texas Tuesday!

I just love our family time together and making memories and keeping on with traditions!

Have you ever been to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo?

  6. We have never been to the Fort Worth Live Stock Show and Rodeo, but have stopped by a time or two at the Houston Rodeo! I cannot believe that season is already upon us again. My favorite thing to do is look at the livestock and then watch the barrel racing! You have inspired me to put this on our Family List for this Spring!

  7. I've lived in or very near Fort Worth my entire life! I don't always make it to the Stock Show. It's more fun if you go in a group and take some kiddos, if you ask me. I love to go with my friends and watch her kids watch the duck slide. It never gets old. I remember going when I was little and that was always my favorite part. I don't love fighting the crowds, but it's a great time even when it's busy. The corny dogs alone are reason enough to go! =)
