{Pirate's Cove Waterpark // Family Day}

Early last week Nathan and I agreed that we needed to have a fun family day with Mason. We know that he absolutely loves water and that our plan needed to incorporate that in some way. We originally planned to go play in the river in a town that we love. But, that was a no go when we heard that the river was too high to play in! We've had a ton of rain lately. So, we decided on Pirate's Cove Waterpark in Burleson, TX. We've been there a few times and we remembered how much Mason loved it!

We got up early enough to grab some breakfast and be at the waterpark before it opened! We wanted to be able to get a good picnic table for our stuff! And that we did! The waterpark opened at 11 and we stayed until almost 4:00! It was a long, fun day in the water! We mostly played in the lazy river, but Mason had his fair share of going down waterslides as well. He loves water activities of any kind! What I love about this waterpark is that it's very family-friendly! There aren't a bunch of unsupervised teenagers running around like most waterparks around here! And, it never gets too crowded! That's an added bonus!! We brought the Go-Pro along for the day, but after watching the videos I quickly learned that we need a new and less shaky monopod for it! So, putting that on the list before the next adventure.

The photos below are just screenshots from videos, but I love them all the same.

After swimming until we were all three completely exhausted we changed into dry clothes and hit up the arcade! Mason played several games and won himself a few pieces of candy! Those arcades sure are sticklers on their prizes! haha!

After the arcade we went to eat at Babe's in downtown Burleson! It had been a while since we've visited that location. It did not disappoint!

We had an amazing day. And Mason told us over and over again "thank you for bringing me here!" And ad you'll see in the video below he says "I'm having the time of my life!" Oh my sweet and precious boy!!!
