{The Guys Behind the Blog // November}

Back for our 2nd installment of Guys Behind the Blog!! I had so much fun reading all of the guys answers to our Halloween themed questions last month. This month we are focusing on Thanksgiving themed questions. I haven't met a guy that doesn't love Thanksgiving {eating & football}, so this should be fun.

November's Questions:

1.) What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish? What is your least favorite?

My favorite dish is sweet potato casserole. The recipe has been passed down from my Great Grandmother.

2.) What is a Thanksgiving tradition you liked growing up that you want to continue with your family? For example: Do you eat super early around 3pm or regular dinner time around 6pm? Do you watch football? Do you all go to a particular family member's house? Do you nap after the big meal?

Our tradition is to go to my Grandmother's house early for lunch then come home and recuperate for a little. Then we head over to my mom and dads for the evening. We watch the Cowboys and just hang out after our meal. We celebrate Thanksgiving with Crystal's side of the family on Friday.

3.) What are your thoughts on Black Friday shopping? Yay or Nay?

It is ridiculous. We have tried it one time and in my mind there is nothing worth buying that I would go to jail for. I mean a $5 toaster is great, but I'd pay $15 to not have to deal with the people...

4.) If you had it your way, would you set up your holiday decorations (Christmas tre, Hanukkah menorah, etc.) before or after Thanksgiving?

NO! I saw a FB post that best describes my feelings about it. It said 'can't we eat some d!$@ turkey first?"

5.) What are you most thankful for this year?

I am thankful for my family. They are the reason for everything I do.

December's Questions - link-up will go live on December 29th:
1.) How do you spend the holidays? Any favorite traditions that you had growing up that you like to share with your family now?
2.) Do you prefer to have a real tree or a fake tree?
3.) How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa? Did someone ruin it for you or did you find out on your own? Do you play Santa for your kids?
4.) What is your favorite Christmas movie?
5.) Office holiday party - take it or leave it?

Bonus Question - New Year's Eve...quiet evening at home or go out?

  2. Poor guys, wishing we'd wait to decorate for Christmas! Mine asked for December 1st. We have minimal thanksgiving plans so I think I'm gonna start the process on actual thanksgiving. I consider that compromise considering some people have already started ;)

  9. Amen! I am so with Nate. A $5 toaster is great but I'd happily pay $15 to not have to deal with people either! I personally like my sleep, like to shop online, and hate the crowds and the rude people! I love to get a deal, but from the comforts of my couch at home LOL.

  11. Awww! to the family answer. And I totally agree about Christmas decorations and Black Friday. Black Friday is Christmas decorating day as far as I'm concerned. Thankfully you can just shop online for most of the Black Friday stuff.
