Hall Around Texas The Kids Behind the Blog

Welcome to our 7th installment of "The Kids Behind the Blog"!! If you're new to this link-up you can find all the details here. I know I may be a just a bit biased, but this is seriously one of my favorite link-ups each month. It's so much fun to read what the kids have to say each time. Kids say the most hilarious things and are so unpredictable. It's my favorite!! I hope you'll join my co-hosts (Stephanie, Meghan, Jessica and Beth) and link-up with us. Can't wait to see how your kid(s) answered these fun summer & school-themed questions this month.

August's Questions and Mason's Answers in video:

1. What was your favorite thing you did over the summer?

New Orleans, oh Panama.

2. What’s your favorite thing to learn about at school? {he didn't know so I asked what he hoped to learn about in first grade}

Alligators and sharks

3. Who is your best friend from school?

4. What do you want be when you grow up?

A police. But not a grown up. Like a kid one. One that works at juvie

5. What is your least favorite thing about school?

Learning. Actually the playground because it makes you sweat and you don't even get drinks.

And as a bonus I asked him what he was most looking forward to about first grade...

The drink machine.

And for the longer version of his answers see video below!

  1. I think Zachary used to want to be "a police." :)

  2. Oh my goodness, his answers are the cutest! A police, but a kid one! And a drink machine really is something to be excited for!

  3. Haha sweat and no drinks. I feel ya kid! Hanks for hosting these, always such fun!

  4. "Juvie" cracked me up! He is ALL boy, huh? Hope he soaks up all the fun he can in the last few weeks of summer!

  5. Juvie, how does he even know that? Smart kid. I love this age, his sweet little voice.

  6. Such a big dude. Juvie?!? What?!? Hahaha!

  7. I love that he specifically wants to be a police officer for kids (at juvie, haha). Random, but my sister teaches at juvie for summer school and I don't know if being a police officer for kids is any less scary - I've heard some crazy stories! And I'm laughing out loud at his answer to his least favorite thing about school. I always love Mason's answers!

  8. He is so cute....And who really wants to be a grown up-grown up...He's got the answer right there!

  9. Oh, Mason and all of his adorableness! I love that he wants to work with juvies and he's most excited about the drink machine in first grade. If we had a drink machine in school I would have been excited about that, too! His answer about the playground sounds just like my Dylan. He was never a fan of being hot and not being able to have a drink. LOL.

I love that you added a video of his answers, too! That made it even better!

  10. What a wonderful future job for Mason! He has such a sweet heart! And whats up with not getting drinks on the playground?!

  11. His freckles are showing so much these days. THANK YOU SUMMER! And he looks so different when he isn't in his glasses.

  12. HA ha! He's such a silly boy! I love how specific he is about things, like a juvie police. :)

  13. It makes you sweat and you don't even get drinks. Baha ha! Oh Mason.

  14. How awesome that Mason wants to work with kids when he's older!
I'm dying over the sweating and not getting drinks answer! LOL!!

Thanks for the comments! Hope you are having an amazing day!!
