Friday night we joined Nate's brother and his wife for some Top Golf in Dallas. Nathan and I had never been and wasn't sure exactly what to expect. But, we loved it. We ended up playing for 2.50 hours! I am not good at all, but I had a blast. And we learned that Top Golf has really great food, too.
Saturday morning we all slept in pretty good (me 8:30, my boys 11:00). Then we did lunch and a little shopping for my sweet cousin's first birthday party. We hung out and took it easy until the party started around 4:30. It was at the neatest venue and only about 3 minutes from our house. It's amazing to me that there are all of these hidden gems basically in our backyard! My cousin's baby is half Hawaiian, so they went with a Luau theme for her party {complete with hula dancing}. Everything was beautiful and so perfect! There were so many great places for photo opps, so I took advantage.
Sunday was church! We missed last week because we were in Mason TX for our Memorial Day trip. It felt so good to be back. And to hear people say, "we missed y'all last week!" Oh how I love our church!! After church Nate had to go into work for a little bit. Mason and I ran to the Dollar Tree to check out their outdoor stuff. We got some cute little pool things, some flamingo plates and some festive drinking cups. Then it was home to clean the house. Once Nate got home we headed over to his parents for some burgers and swimming. Well, swimming for Mason. He had so much fun in that little pool and I was able to take a bunch of pictures.
How was your weekend?
Amazing photos! I especially love the pool/hose photos and the trees with the sunlight peeking through! And yes to Top Golf being a blast (with good food!), even if you're not a golfer. We went for my birthday in January and although I'd like to go back now that it's warm and we wouldn't freeze our butts off, it was still a great time! Glad you guys had a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteYay for great relaxing weekends and finding fun things in your backyard, that cake is just the cutest!
ReplyDeleteOkay that baby is gorgeous! Such a little cutie. The theme is so perfect too, esp. with pineapples being all the craze. We still have not made it into the pool but the plan is to get out the blow up pool tomorrow and the club pool should hopefully be ready by next week. I'm ready for a swim!
ReplyDeleteI'd say your weekend was pretty great! Nate has 2 brothers?
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are amazing! My favorites are the hose pool photos. Mask sure has the life. ;) I want to join!
Crystal!!! You keep surprising me with more amazing photos! Mason's personality definitely shines through as he's posing with the innertube. Bring on summer!
ReplyDeleteYour weekends are always the best!!
ReplyDeleteTop Golf looks like so much fun! Scott always asks me to go hit a few with him and Marcus, but I'm too nervous to give it a shot.
That little first birthday theme is SO cute!! I love that the party was complete with hula dancing. SO fun!
And that little church - how cute and amazing is that?!
Okay I've said this before and I'll keep saying it, your pictures are amazing. The ones you got of Mason in the pool blow me away. I mean for real girl. What a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the pool photos! We have a top golf but I've never been there. It seems kind of expensive!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures! Sounds like such a fun weekend. That little sweetheart's birthday looks so fun!
ReplyDeleteThere's too many good pics here, I couldn't pick a favorite. You guys sure know how to do weekends right!
ReplyDeleteOh that little cutie is GORGEOUS. What a cutie and a fun theme. Love the water play too. Gotta stay cool somehow!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun-filled weekend. I want to get C a pool for our yard so we can have days at home that include a "pool" day.
ReplyDeleteMason slept til 11!?!? I was thrilled Noah slept past 8 today! Maybe there is hope of sleeping in again as he gets older!
