{Secret Santa Blogger Book Exchange}

Over a month ago I joined in with a bunch of awesome bloggers for a Secret Santa book exchange. Each person that joined sent two books; one for mama and one for the little. And today is the day we get to share with you all our exchange!

Meghan over at The Adventure Starts Here so graciously sent Mason and I two amazing books.

Mason got The Little Blue Truck's Christmas...which has been on our list since the minute it came out!! Mason was so excited when a package arrived for him! And even more excited to open it and see that it was this awesome book! He couldn't get over how 'cool' the lights were at the back of the book. He sat there and watched the twinkle lights over and over and then couldn't wait to show his dad when he got off work!

Amazon's synopsis of The Little Blue Truck...

 It's the most wonderful time of the year! Little Blue Truck is spreading cheer by delivering Christmas trees to his animal friends. Can you help count each green tree from one to five and back again? Don’t forget to save one for Blue! Beep! Beep!

With the gentle rhythm and signature illustration style that made Little Blue Truck a household name, Blue's new adventure is full of holiday warmth. Sturdy cardstock pages, a compact and child-friendly text, and flashing colored Christmas lights on the final page come together in a novelty gift book that’s sure to be the favorite treat of the season.

The Little Blue Truck's Christmas has become a daily read for us! Each time Mason and I pick out our favorite Christmas tree out of the five the little blue truck has to deliver. So much fun!

Meghan sent me Looking for Alaska by John Green! I am a big John Green fan and can't wait to dive into this book. I haven't started it yet because I have been busy with advent and studies and of course reading all of Mason's books! But, I am excited to read it.

Amazon's synopsis...

 Before. Miles “Pudge” Halter is done with his safe life at home. His whole life has been one big non-event, and his obsession with famous last words has only made him crave “the Great Perhaps” even more (Francois Rabelais, poet). He heads off to the sometimes crazy and anything-but-boring world of Culver Creek Boarding School, and his life becomes the opposite of safe. Because down the hall is Alaska Young. The gorgeous, clever, funny, sexy, self-destructive, screwed up, and utterly fascinating Alaska Young. She is an event unto herself. She pulls Pudge into her world, launches him into the Great Perhaps, and steals his heart. Then. . . .

After. Nothing is ever the same.

  11. The Little Blue Truck Christmas!!!! I pre-ordered that baby as soon as I heard about it and I strategically had Mason open it on the first night of our Christmas books and we have both loved it ever since. Pretty sure I might love it more but he sure loves the twinkling lights at the end. Meghan did a great job!
    Thanks so much for joining us!
