This past Saturday my boys and I ventured out and about! We were driving down the freeway and remembered that we were close to Gas Monkey Bar and Grill. So we got directions and our lunch plans were set! Gas Monkey Bar and Grill is owned by the guys from Gas Monkey Garage. They have a show that airs on the Discovery channel called Fast and Loud.
When we arrived they told us the wait would be 35 minutes so we ventured around to check out the place. It's pretty cool!!
We only waited about 10 minutes and they called us back. They use a nifty little text messaging system where they text you when your table is ready! Not sure why more places don't do that. The tables are a little crowded, but not too bad. I will say this - they don't have a big selection to choose from and they do not have a kids menu. I chose cool ranch chicken tenders and fries from the appetizer menu and Nate got a pulled pork sandwich. Mason was going to share french fries from my plate. I wasn't too fond of my plate - the chicken was overcooked and there was too much seasoning on it! The fries and peppercorn ranch dressing were amazing, though! Nate liked his sandwich pretty well. And Mason? He was just too focused on buying a stuffed monkey! ha
$25 dollars later and Mason has a monkey! haha!
We will definitely go back again!

That's awesome! I guess you can tour the garage too which I want to try to do next time my parents come to visit! Glad you had a chance to check it out!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! My brother who loves all things mechanical had mentioned the show but I'd never watched until this past weekend when my in laws were visiting. We've added it to our go and do list!
