{Duck Commander/Duck and Dressing - Monroe, LA}

The Friday after the concert we went to eat lunch at Margaritaville. While we were there Nathan had me look up Duck Commander and how far it was from where we were. It was only 1.5 hours from Bossier City. So on a whim we decided to drive there to check it out. It seemed a lot longer than 1.5 hours I think because of the boring highway and there was absolutely NO cell service! But we made it. And I am glad that we did! It was really neat to see. We went straight to the warehouse and it was a little different than we expected. We thought the warehouse was off in the sticks somewhere...but it's actually just off the main road.

They had the bus and 18 wheeler parked outside of it. And just off the side of the warehouse was an entrance to their store. The store is massive and has any and everything Duck Commander you could think of. They also had a great little kids area that Mason would have loved.

While we were outside taking pictures in front of the Duck Commander/Buck Commander sign we are pretty sure we saw Jase. He was walking back from "Willie's Watering Hole" across the street back into the front entrance of the warehouse. They only let authorized people in there.

After we finished up we went across town to find Duck and Dressing {the boutique that Korie Robertson opened with their adopted daughter, Rebecca}. We had no cell service, so we were winging it. We did find it though! It was pretty neat. The daughter, Rebecca was there..but we didn't realize this until we left. We didn't spend a whole lot of time in there because it was a girly girl place and the boys were with me. Guess I will have to go back. I could have bought one of everything in there.

If you're ever in the area I definitely suggest seeing both!!

  1. So fun! :) My cousin stopped by there on her way back to Georgia from Texas. My dad likes to joke that we're distantly related to them because my grandmother's family lived in West Monroe before moving to Post, Tx! Lol

  8. Fun! Man, you went on an adventure! I've stopped at Duck Commander before but it was on a Sunday and they weren't open. :( I didn't realize Willie's wife had a boutique! I'll have to keep that in mind (and yes, such a boring drive).
