Even though the weather has been anything but than fall-like, we are having a complete blast checking things off our 2017 fall bucketlist. We're not letting the 90 degree weather put a damper on our fall festivity happenings. Here's what we have completed so far.
Last Friday was Fall Fiesta at Mason's school. Nathan was out of town all weekend for a fishing tournament, so it was just Mason and I. We got there early to help set-up the PTO booth. We had bible study that evening so we weren't able to stay for the whole evening. I got to chat with Mason's teacher for a bit, he played all of the games his little heart desired, and loaded up on all the sugar before we left. It was a really great time! I love Mason's school and his district and can't say enough good things about it.
Mason and I visited a new pumpkin patch this past weekend! We have been seeing pictures and posts about Shadow Creek Pumpkin Patch for a few months now and the anticipation had been building up. It did not disappoint one bit. Mason and I enjoyed every single second of it and ended up hanging out there for a little over 3 hours. Every inch of the pumpkin patch is a beautiful photo opportunity. It's so relaxing and just peaceful out there. I will have a full post on this soon because you know I took a ton of pictures!
Another thing on our 2017 fall bucketlist was to ride on a hayride. I mean, what is fall without a hayride? :) We rode on one while at the pumpkin patch this past weekend. It was a little warm, but still enjoyable. And it was just short enough that my allergies didn't go too crazy.
We also adventured through a cornmaze while at the pumpkin patch! I let Mason lead the way and he totally led us right out of the maze within minutes! He's good! At the end of the maze they have a bell you ring and Mason rang that thing loud and proud!
Decorated pumpkins on my porch is one of my favorite things! Last year I made this fun DIY personalized pumpkin using a paint marker. Since then I have gotten a Cricut, so I put it to use for this year's pumpkins! I am in love with the way they came out. I'm thinking about getting some fake pumpkins and making some general fall themed ones that I can use each year.
