{What we're reading // vol. 2}

Welcome to our 2nd round of "What We're Reading"! I loved co-hosting this with sweet friends last month. My 'to read' list grew by leaps and bounds. I can't wait to see what everyone is currently reading. The Hall family devoted most of January to reading the Bible, Bible stories, devotionals and Bible studies. I don't think much else was read beyond that and I am okay with that. Looks like February will mostly be spent that way as well.

As for Nathan and I we are still reading the devotionals I mentioned in last month's What We're Reading Post with our church on Wednesday nights. We also joined a small group with friends from church for bible study on Friday nights. We're reading out of the book of Acts for that. I also ordered these two books from Amazon and can't wait to dive into them:

The She Reads Truth is one of my favorite bible study tools! So, I am really looking forward to both of these books. The Open Your Bible is a 7-session Bible Study. She Reads Truth tells the stories about two women who discovered that God and His Word remain unchanged as the world around them changes. It's infused with biblical application and Scripture and not only about the two women's stories, but about one Hero and one story. Oh how I can't wait to read them!!!

I also ordered several new books for Mason. We were in need of a new devotional and I wanted a new storybook bible for him as well. I was also excited to find reader books that are stories from the bible. I can't wait to order more. This is what Mason and I are reading:

Mason is a little bookworm and read all of the readers on the first day he received them! But, they are good ones to read over and over. We are really enjoying the devotional. It's dated so there is one for every day. This is a change and a challenge for us. Our last devotional wasn't dated and we'd read 3 or 4 in one night. The Jesus Calling Storybook bible is great, too! Mason is enjoying all of them.

What are you reading currently?
