{TKBTB // December}

Eleven months ago some of my sweet blog friends and I started the Kids Behind the Blog series. It's been one of my favorites ever since. The things that kids say never ceases to amaze me. I love putting them on the spot each month and having them answer a few questions. And it gives me a chance to learn a little more about my friend's little(s). I just love it. If you're new to this link-up you can find all of the details here. I hope you will join my co-hosts {Stephanie, Meghan, Jessica and Beth} and I and link-up with us. We went with a Christmas theme this month. And because my hosts and I love Christmas we threw in extra questions. We couldn't narrow it down to just five.  You can ask your little(s) all ten questions, or pick and choose the ones you want to ask. Either way, we can't wait to read your posts.

Questions for December:

1.) Which Reindeer is your favorite?
 Rudolph!!!
Me: Why Rudolph?
Mase: I don't know. Well, because of his red nose and because that's not normal.  He's cute with his red nose.

2.) What do you want for Christmas?
The Lego Mr. Gold.
Me: Is that all Mase?
Mase: Umm, no. Lego Jokerland. And Lego Deathstar. And the set to go with Mr. Gold.
Me: So basically you just want Legos for Christmas?
Mase: Not all. I just don't know what else yet.

3.) What would you do if you caught Santa at your house?
I would go and give him a big hug and tell him Thank You. Then I would let him go so that he could go to all the other homes.

4.) What if Santa got stuck in your chimney?
I would call the Fire Department to come and help him.

5.) Do you want it to snow on Christmas? Why or why not?
Yes! {singing} Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! So I can have a snowball fight.

6.) Have you been naughty or nice this year? Why?
Naughty!
Me: Really?
Mase: Yes.
Me: How?
Mase: Well, just a little bit.
Me: What have you done to be naughty?
Mase: Sometimes I say no to you and I don't know why I do that.

7.) If Santa asked you to fly in his sleigh with him would you do it?
NO!
Me: Really? Why not?
Mase: I'm afraid of heights.
Me: You wouldn't want to see all the magic from Santa's sleigh?
Mase: No! It's a secret Mom!

8.) What is your favorite Christmas movie?
Rudolph.

9.) If you could change the color of Rudolph's nose what color would you make it?
Blue!
Me: Why blue?
Mase: Because it would look cool and funny!

10.) Sing me one Christmas carol. (Then note which song they pick and how they sing it. This could be funny because kids are always mixing up lyrics.)
 {singing}
Jingle Bells Batman smells
Robin laid an egg
Batmovile lost his wheel
and Joker got away!
Me: How about a real Christmas song?
{singing again}
Rudolph the red nose reindeer had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw him you would say it glowed
All the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names
Santa said Rudolph would you guide my sleigh tonight
Then how the other reindeer loved him
as they shouted out hooray for Rudolph
You'll go down in history.

My random notes/thoughts:
I was super surprised that he chose Rudolph as his favorite movie! I was sure he was going to say Elf. We watch it on repeat the entire Christmas season!
Legos are taking over my house!!
Goodness, I have a sweet boy!
I was also super surprised that he said he had been naughty! But at least he recognized that he does tell me no too often and we can work on that!
Afraid of heights? That's news to me....Mr "I want to ride all of the tallest rollercoasters!"
We need to work on our Christmas carols. haha
And it was all about Rudolph this time.

If you're a planner like me, here are the dates for 2017's The Kids Behind the Blog linkup:
January 11 | February 8 | March 8 | April 12 | May 10 | June 14
July 12 | August 9 | September 13 | October 11 | November 8 | December 13

1.) What's your favorite thing to do or play inside?
2.) Have you ever seen or played in snow? If so, what is your favorite snow activity?
3.) What was your favorite Christmas or holiday gift you received?
4.) What's your favorite winter vacation you went on? Why?
5.) Would you rather live where it's warm all year round or have the seasons?

  1. What a sweet boy! I love how he is so much more literal than Cash. It's crazy what just a couple of years can do.

  2. Mason is seriously the sweetest! He has the best heart and love for others. His answers just melted me and him singing Jingle Bells was awesome. I remember singing it that way at his age.
