{Pumpkin Patch 2013 - Year 4}

The older I get {and especially now that I have a child} the more traditions have come to mean to me. The more I crave them. Need them. And Love them.

The Pumpkin Patch is no exception.

When Mason was just 5 months old we ventured out to our first Pumpkin Patch. It set the bar and it set it high. It left us with so many great memories and adorable pictures and we talked about it for weeks on end.

Fast forward to year 2 we look up the Pumpkin Patch on the Internet only to read that they 'no longer have the pumpkin patch, but be sure to come back for Christmas Trees!' Come again? Way to break my little tradition-lovin' heart! Ha! I started searching for a new pumpkin patch in the area and was thankful to find Country Critters. And we've gone here ever since. Year 3 we went twice!!

Here we are at year four. Four. Four years of visiting the pumpkin patch. And this year? Did not disappoint. There were several new things this year, too. That makes me happy and somewhere in my little mind tells me they are growing and not planning on shutting down!

One of the new things that Mason loved was the rubber duck races. You could purchase a rubber duck for $1 and they had a 'race track' set up. What little boy doesn't love to play in water??

And just like years past, Mason's favorite is the wooden train playset. He could spend hours on end playing there! And, well he did. He was just precious yelling out, "All aboard" and trying to convince all of us to take a ride on his train.

After we convinced Mason to get off the train {but not without promising to come back to it} we visited the petting zoo area, Mason rode the ponies, we picked out our pumpkin from the patch, did the wooden maze, the bounce house and the hayride. Mason went to story time where he got cookies and sat on haybales. It was one of the more crowded story times so seats were limited. Mason at first was sitting next to an adult about 3 or 4 rows back...but by the end of the story he was up front and center on the first row of hay! Right smack dab in the middle of a group of kids. I love that he isn't shy!! Nate's mom and I sampled and then bought a loaf of Pumpkin Bread. Divine! After a good 2 - 2.5 hours we left and went to lunch.

And, the best family photo we got all day....{I will be posting outtakes tomorrow}

  2. HE is just so cute I could eat him up. Looks like a fun pumpkin patch. Glad he isn't shy bc with his cuteness in a few years you are going to fight off those ladies. These pictures are so good and clear, what lens are you using I love how detailed and sharp they are.
