{Oh Monday!}

Picture from last year

Woke up late
it's raining
forgot to set out clothes the night before
got myself ready and thought I was making good time
packed lunches, took them to the car
woke up Mason and finally got him dressed
he didn't like his shoes and wanted me to change him
He loads up his puppy and blanket (that he takes everywhere) plus the 2 stuffed animals he wins at the Fair, plus the John Deere tool box and tools he also got at the Fair.
Has to put them all down on the couch so that I can put his rain jacket on.
We load our arms back up and head out to the car.
I didn't crack an umbrella because my hands were already full.
I get soaked while loading Mason into the car.
We start driving and I give him his breakfast.
He cries because he needs his rain jacket off NOW.
I promise him that I will pull over when I can.
He stops whining..
but then Netflix isn't working on my phone!
Stop at the gas station to take his rain jacket off and fix Netflix.
We get going again.
Get to school and have to park in the rain because the drive under the awning was full.
Get us and our 17 bags, bears and tools out of the car.
He drops his Angry Birds cheez-its in the floor.
I get soaked again.
Get to Mason's classroom and he starts crying because he wants donuts, all the while dancing because he needed to potty.
Set everything down on the table and take him to the potty.
Store everything away in his cubby and distract him so he will forget about the donuts.
We go to the cafeteria and I sit with him a minute.
Kiss and love on him a bit and head out.

It's 7:30 and I have to drive 22 miles to work in the rain!

I remember that I downloaded the Kacey Musgraves album over the weekend and turn it on.

First song is "Silver Lining"

.....

If you're ever gonna find a silver lining
It's gotta be a cloudy day
It's gotta be a cloudy day
If you wanna fill your bottle up with lightning
You're gonna have to stand in the rain
You're gonna have to stand in the rain

I hear you, Lord, I hear you!

And for those little reminders, I thank you!

How was your Monday?
