{He said what?!? V8}

It just gets better and better!!!

2/2/13 - We were heading to the Rodeo and had over an hour of driving to do so I told Mason he should take a nap. His response?

"Mama, Cowboys don't take naps."

...

2/3/13 - Mason and I were heading into Target and I asked him if he wanted to get an Icee...

"Yes, but I need to get a prize first. Ice cream drinks aren't very fun."

...

2/3/13 - Nathan, Mason and I were heading down to the creek in the Trail Wagon and out of the blue Mason says..

"Mama, I'm havin' a good day."

{heart melted}

...

2/3/13 - Mason and I were walking down Nana and Papa's driveway and he wanted to walk down the road. The sun was setting and it was starting to get dark. I told him that we shouldn't walk too far because we wouldn't be able to see animals. He says...

"I don't want a Coyote to eat us Mama. You're my special baby."

...

2/3/13 - "Mason, you are so cute I could just eat you with a spoon." - Me
"No Mama, you can't eat me. I'm not buuuhscetti." - Mason

{Monster Jam}

A couple of weekends ago we took Mason to see Monster Jam at Texas Stadium. We went last year too, but our seats were in the nosebleeds. This year we had fabulous seats.  We kept it a complete surprise from Mason. And to be honest, we were about ready to cancel our plans and eat the $150 that day. He hadn't napped and was a complete mess!

I'm glad we didn't though. He was so shocked when he found out what we were doing, and so happy! And we had a really great time.

And something totally random that never happens...Mason fell asleep about half way between the show! He must have been tired! He had ear muffs on, but it was still loud even with those! I guess the noise and vibrations just relaxed him right into a sleep. We left after about 15 or so minutes of him sleeping. We thought we'd beet traffic that way!

Another great memory for the memory bank...

{Down at the creek}

It's no secret that one of our favorite things to do as a family is go down to the creek! I love when the weather is nice enough for us to enjoy it! We went a couple of weekends ago when the sun was shining in full force. We had a complete blast and got some adorable photos.

Our neighbor

 Mason's favorite thing to do is throw rocks in the creek, Nate likes to take the metal detector, and I like to take pictures {of course!}

This particular time Nate caught a baby frog and Mason was ecstatic. He played with it for a few minutes and then "let him go back to his Mommy".

Nate got the camera and took a few of Mason and I.

I love spending time with these boys and love the memories that we make!

{30 second Thursdays - Harlem Shake}

I know this vlog is supposed to be me...but I had to share Mason's Harlem Shake! It's too cute not too. Besides, he probably does it better than me!

{Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo 2013}

This past Saturday we went to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Going to the FWSSR was a tradition that Nate's Grandpa started with the family way back when. His Grandfather is no longer with us, but we carry on the tradition. This was Nathans 31st, my 17th {with his fam}, and the 3rd for Mason. I look forward to this day every year! It's such a great time. This year we had a group of 17 and took the entire rows of 1 and 2 in Section A.

We left Waxahachie at 10 am and headed that way. We thought that would give us plenty of time for the Stock Show and exhibits before the 2:00 Rodeo. But, there was traffic on 2 of the major highways and then traffic around the Rodeo grounds. We had to park in the back-40. But, we got to ride in a covered wagon pulled by a tractor. Mason was ecstatic!

 We got to walk through one of the cow barns, but pretty quickly. We found the Moores and then headed to the exhibit halls. We had our minds set on getting a picture of Mason on the bull. And of course they moved it from the spot it's normally in. We went through a few aisles before someone finally asked. Aha, aisle 800. $20 later we had us a 4x6 and cd of the 4 pictures they took.

 Looks like a natural, eh? It was a compromise to the real bulls that he wanted to ride! After we got our pictures we headed for the tractors. We saw them on the way to the bull and promised Mason we'd go back. Plus, it was a good spot to hang out and let our huge group all meet up.

Mason has absolutely no fear. So it was no surprise when he wanted to ride the roller coasters in the midway! He settled for a little more mild tractor ride! He also went through the petting zoo with Kynna and Kolton.

After a little time in the midway it was time for the Rodeo. Mason got a lightup toy, cotton candy, nachos, a snow cone, funnel cake, etc. The Rodeo was good and Mason was totally into it. He watched with curious little eyes and asked many questions. And I'm pretty sure he told his Daddy he wanted to ride!

After the Rodeo we went back to Midway for another ride. Mason cried when we had to leave. He wanted to ride more..but we had a cagillion people waiting on us to go eat. This guy made up for it and took away his tears...

FWSSR 2013 - you did not disappoint. See ya next year!
