{Easter // 2025}

He is Risen!

The grave couldn’t hold Him, and death was defeated. Jesus willingly took the weight of my sin, suffered in my place, and gave His life so I could have eternal life with Him.
Because of Jesus, I am forgiven. I am free. I am loved beyond measure.
Today and every day, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for His sacrifice and the hope of the resurrection.
Thank You, Jesus, for the cross… and the empty tomb.

This Easter weekend was one of those sweet stretches of time that makes you want to bottle it up and hold on to every little moment. It was simple, joyful, full of meaning, and exactly what my heart needed.

The celebration kicked off a little early this year. On Thursday night, Nana and Papa showed up with a surprise that lit up both our front lawn and Mason’s face—a glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt! It was such a fun and unexpected way to start the weekend. The only thing I didn’t have ready? A basket. 😂 So in true mom fashion, I grabbed the closest thing I could find… a to-go drink carrier. Not exactly Pinterest-worthy, but hey—it worked! Mason didn’t seem to mind one bit as he darted around the yard with glowing eggs lighting up the grass. We laughed so much, and it was such a fun memory to kick off the Easter weekend.

Saturday was one of those slower, soul-filling kind of days. We gathered at my parents’ lakehouse—one of my favorite places. The weather was perfect, and the day was filled with all the things I love most: family gathered on the porch, the sound of birds calling from the trees, and deep conversations about Jesus, the Gospel, and God’s Word. It’s not every day that you get to sit with people you love and talk about the things that matter most. There’s something so special about talking faith with your people, surrounded by nature, with a gentle breeze coming off the lake. We wrapped up the evening with a trip to Don Juan’s, which was the perfect way to end the day.

Sunday morning began the way I always hope it will—at church. It’s truly my favorite place to be, and Easter Sunday always feels especially powerful. The worship was beautiful, full of energy and reverence, and Pastor David’s message hit right to the heart. It was a beautiful reminder of the hope we have because of the resurrection. I found myself tearing up more than once, just overwhelmed by gratitude for the sacrifice Jesus made and the life we get to live because of it.

After church, we grabbed some lunch and spent a little time at home—before heading over to the Halls for the afternoon. The food was delicious (because let’s be honest, Easter meals never disappoint), but the company was even better. It felt like the perfect exhale after such a full and beautiful weekend.

As the sun set on Sunday night, I couldn’t help but feel deeply grateful—for family, for laughter, for meaningful conversations, for porch hangs, and glow-in-the-dark eggs… but most of all, for Jesus. Easter is a celebration of the greatest victory the world has ever known, and I’m just so thankful for the peace, joy, and new life that comes from knowing our risen Savior.

Thank you, Jesus, for the cross, the empty tomb, and the hope that lives on because of You.
