{Five on Friday // DIY Pajamas, Shirts, Ornaments, Polar Express & Grinch, Thanksgiving at Mason's school, Jeep}

Happy finally Friday! It seems like the week before a holiday always drags out! Mason is out all next week for Thanksgiving and I couldn't be more excited! I have to work, but I still get to spend a lot of time with him. He really needs this break from school. He's getting burned out and bored. So I pray this break is refreshing for him and that he goes back ready to learn. Anyhow, here's a little five on Friday...

{O N E} Posts from this week //

To be honest, I haven't been very motivated when it comes to this space lately, but that's changing. I was looking over my December calendar and I couldn't wait to blog all the things. Something about the holidays that makes me want to take and share pictures! So, my blogging hiatus is hopefully over!

Tuesday - Mainstay Farm
Wednesday - Shadow Creek

This week was all about the pumpkin patches!

{T W O} This weekend is our Polar Express and Grinch trip!

This is one of our favorite weekends out of the year! We will visit the Grinch's Lair and ride on the Polar Express!! We were so sad at the beginning of the year when we heard that the Polar Express was no longer. I'm so glad that didn't end up happening and we are able to continue on with our tradition. It's such a magical weekend and I love sharing it with my family.

This picture won first place and 10 free tickets to the attraction this year. They used it on their website and all of their promotional items this year. So exciting! I want to recreate this picture this year.

I've been busy this week getting all the things prepared for our weekend. I bought Mason a pair of grey and white striped pajamas at Target and then found a Polar Express cut file to put on them. They came out so cute! And he will get to wear them to school in December for their Polar Express day, too {and I'm sure every day in between}!

I made these shirts for Nate's mom and I to wear with our Christmas pajamas. We love Christmas Vacation  and all of our camping friends call us the "GrizHalls"! (Play on the Griswolds)

{T H R E E} DIY Christmas Ornaments //

I've put my Cricut to use this week! I also made some new Christmas ornaments and I am in love!! I have been seeing different variations of these floating around the Cricut groups I am a part of and knew I needed to make them. They're just white Christmas balls that I added vinyl words & burlap bows to.

I can't wait to put them on my tree. I'm also thinking about doing a set of all the names of Jesus and a set of all the reindeer names for Mason's little tree we put in his room. Oh how I am ready for all the twinkle lights.

{F O U R}  Thanksgiving at Mason's school //

Wednesday was the Thanksgiving feast at Mason's school. This year his Papa, Uncle and Mimi were able to come with us. We had a good time. I am so thankful to these family that pour into Mason's life and love him so well. They had the cafeteria all decorated and even though it was chaotic, it was pretty special.

{F I V E} Steps for the Jeep //

Glory got some new steps!! It's a little difficult for Mason and I to get in and out of the Jeep, so these were needed. I love the way they look on her! Soon she will be getting a 3 inch lift and bigger tires, new bumpers and rock guards. We just have to nail down which lift we want and who we are going with for installation. We are having so much fun with the Jeep. We've joined a local Jeep Club and they are beyond amazing. They are always doing things for our community and we are so glad to be a part of it. A couple of weekends back we did a Poker run with all proceeds going to our local SPCA. We raised over $1800 for the SPCA. That's huge for them! This weekend they are doing a sleeping bag run to donate sleeping bags to shelters and homeless! Next week we are going to be in the Christmas parade with the club. Everyone will decorate and light up their Jeeps. I can't wait.

And just like that I have jumped from fall head first into all things Christmas. I can't help it! I love this season and want to enjoy it as much as possible.

Are you still team fall? or ready for all things Christmas?

Have a good weekend, y'all!

  1. Loved all your crafts this week, you are so talented. I made some graphic tees for my mom for her birthday. WE are all getting together next week and our fav Christmas movie is White Christmas (for which Vera is named from) so I made "I'm dreaming of a WHITE CHRISTMAS" shirts. I can't wait to give them to all the ladies :) xoxo ERIN

  3. The ornaments are just vinyl? They look like you've made indentations in them, like the Rae Dunn products! I want to add words to some bowls I have, but I don't have a cricut.
