{Driveway hockey at sunrise}

We had to wake up really early for a hockey game… like, before the sun even thought about rising. Oh sweet spring league...you sure know how to keep us on our toes!

While we were finishing up getting ready, Mason grabbed his stick and headed out to the goal in the driveway. He wanted to take a few shots before we hit the road. I stood there watching him, coffee in one hand, heart bursting with pride in the other... and I’m so glad I thought to grab my phone and snap a few pictures.

Because these weren’t just “warming up” shots… this was passion.

This was drive.

This was my boy, doing what he loves most, even before the world was awake.

In those few quiet moments, with the chill still in the air and the sky just starting to shift, I was reminded how much heart this kid pours into everything he does. His determination, his grit, his focus...I see it every single time he steps on the ice, but that morning? I saw it in the stillness too.

I love this kid something fierce. Watching him chase after his dreams, discipline himself, and push his limits, it's one of my greatest honors as a mom.

These are the moments I’ll never forget. The early mornings. The back porch slapshots. The little glimpses of big dreams in the making. 💚
