After the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Nate, Mason, and I decided to explore the area a bit more. We drove around Santa Cruz, visited some thrift stores, and then decided to find a beach.
We had been in California for four days and hadn't spent any time at a beach. I have to tell you, the beaches were not what I was expecting. They are more rocky than sandy and the water is freezing. I had to remind myself what part of CA I was in.
And, that's a wrap on our CA vacation. The next day was spent cleaning up and out the Airbnb and then heading to the airport. We hit the ground running when we got home, though. We realized that Mason's hockey stick had broken the day before we left for CA so we had to drive straight to Plano to get him a new hockey stick.
