What You’ll Need:
-
Ice cream maker
-
Ice (we used 2 bags)
-
Rock salt
-
2 two-liters of soda (Cream Soda = vanilla vibes!)
-
2 cans of sweetened condensed milk
Directions:
-
In the canister of your ice cream maker, pour in the soda and the sweetened condensed milk. That’s it!
-
Layer ice around the outside of the canister, topping each layer with rock salt. Keep alternating ice and salt until the ice cream maker is full.
-
Turn it on and let it do its thing! Ours was ready in about 30 minutes.
-
Scoop into bowls, cones, mugs... whatever makes you happy. Freeze any leftovers—if there are any!
This recipe is a total crowd-pleaser and completely customizable. We've done:
-
Orange soda + cream soda for a dreamsicle flavor
-
Big Red + cream soda for a fun strawberry twist
-
Root beer for a creamy root beer float taste
Seriously... the combinations are endless! Let the kids pick their own soda and make it a fun summer tradition.
Whether you’re making it for a party, a holiday, or just a hot afternoon on the porch, this homemade ice cream is sure to hit the spot. Sweet, simple, and oh-so-satisfying.
Let me know if you try it... or if you come up with a new flavor combo I need to know about!
I have never made or had homemade ice cream. This needs to be fixed... ASAP!
