{The Easiest Homemade Ice Cream Recipe // Just 2 Ingredients!}

Happy National Ice Cream Day! 🍦 What better time to share (or reshare!) our favorite go-to ice cream recipe? This one is a total winner around here—super simple, just two ingredients, and only takes about 30 minutes to prep. It’s the perfect summertime treat, especially when you need something quick, fun, and delicious.

What You’ll Need:

  • Ice cream maker

  • Ice (we used 2 bags)

  • Rock salt

  • 2 two-liters of soda (Cream Soda = vanilla vibes!)

  • 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk

Directions:

  1. In the canister of your ice cream maker, pour in the soda and the sweetened condensed milk. That’s it!

  2. Layer ice around the outside of the canister, topping each layer with rock salt. Keep alternating ice and salt until the ice cream maker is full.

  3. Turn it on and let it do its thing! Ours was ready in about 30 minutes.

  4. Scoop into bowls, cones, mugs... whatever makes you happy. Freeze any leftovers—if there are any!

This recipe is a total crowd-pleaser and completely customizable. We've done:

  • Orange soda + cream soda for a dreamsicle flavor

  • Big Red + cream soda for a fun strawberry twist

  • Root beer for a creamy root beer float taste

Seriously... the combinations are endless! Let the kids pick their own soda and make it a fun summer tradition.

Whether you’re making it for a party, a holiday, or just a hot afternoon on the porch, this homemade ice cream is sure to hit the spot. Sweet, simple, and oh-so-satisfying.

Let me know if you try it... or if you come up with a new flavor combo I need to know about!
